Our
Cells
When
we receive the cells, they have not been touched by
any middle men - it is a little known fact that when
you buy loose cells from your local store, there is
a high probability that they are rejects from other
battery matchers. Why would you buy low quality reject
cells when you can buy our high quality matched packs
for around the same price?
It
should be noted also, that we purchase cells that have
been individually shrink wrapped at the factory. Although
this is more expensive, it saves you time and money,
and also helps to protect the cells from damage. You
will find most matchers sell their cells without shrink
wrap - don't settle for second best!
Our Matching Process
First,
our cells are voltage-enhanced with our custom enhancement
process. We do not use a standard single high voltage
zapping process like most cell matchers do. We're keeping
the exact details a secret for now, but we think our
solution is better than the rest!
After
voltage enhancement, the cells are rested for a period
of 3 days, in order to equalise. They are then cycled
several times, ensuring accurate readings in the next
step.
Only after these steps do we take readings from the cells. We match at a 6 amp charge rate, and a 35 amp discharge rate. This ensures the most accurate numbers for your new matched packs. Our cells are matched on one of our 8 Competition Electronics Turbomatcher units. These units are industry standard, and will NOT give inflated figures like Lavco matching systems (such as those used by some other matchers). We guarantee that the numbers on our cells are "real", and have not been modified in any way.
The Finished Product
The cells then have their labels applied, which show many important characteristics of the cell. The cells are then grouped into lots of 6 (or 4 or 7, on request) with similar Average Voltage, Runtime, and Actual Internal Resistance readings. We then package the cells, ready to sell, and ready to kick some serious butt on the track!
